Extension

The extension

What the Peltify Chrome extension does, and what it never does.

The Peltify extension is the browser hand: it reads the services you chose inside your own Chrome, using the sessions you are already signed into, and hands what it read to your Peltify account. Without it, the app has nothing to read with.

What it does

  • Opens as a side panel next to whatever tab you are on.
  • Pairs with the Peltify account open in your browser — automatically, and you can unpair.
  • Lets you tick the platforms to scan and keeps that list in sync with the app.
  • Runs a scan in your own tabs, grouped and colour-coded by service, and reports every step live.
  • Stop all ends a running scan. Turn off parks the extension entirely.

What it never does

  • It never sees or stores a password. You are already signed in; it reads what your account can see.
  • It only runs on the services listed in Permissions and on Peltify's own pages.
  • It reads only while a scan you started is running.
  • It sends what it reads to Peltify under your account, and nowhere else.
