Permissions, explained

Every permission the extension asks for, and why.

Chrome shows a list when you load the extension. This is what each line means.

Permissions

PermissionWhy
sidePanelThe panel is a side panel.
storageRemembers the pairing and the platforms you ticked.
tabs, scriptingOpens the tabs for a scan and reads the page in front of it.
debuggerReading a modern web app reliably needs Chrome's own debugging channel. Used only while a scan you started is running.
alarmsKeeps the connection alive between steps.

Sites it may run on

Only these, and only during a scan:

Spotify · Reddit · Netflix · YouTube · Goodreads · Twitch · Last.fm · Amazon · Prime Video · Disney+ · Bandcamp — plus Peltify's own pages (peltify.com, peltify.vercel.app) and localhost for development.

It cannot run anywhere else. Chrome enforces that list, not Peltify.

What leaves your browser

What the extension read, sent to your Peltify account. Nothing else — no browsing history, no passwords, no other sites.
