Hello,
This round made Search the centre of Peltify. The chat answers the question you actually asked, the round you are on stays in a dock, a song plays in full, and Search at rest is a shop floor to browse.
Chat
- Answers are shaped like the question. "What's that thing" gets a name, "will I like it" gets a verdict, "what have I" gets your history, "films like X" gets picks.
- Describe something you cannot name and every candidate must fit the whole description.
- Replies are one short line.
- The round you are on stands in a dock above the chat bar. Typing turns the dock into suggestions.
- Picking a work from the list never sends. It goes into your words.
- "It" means the work you named last.
- Have you heard? cards show up only when your shelf is thin for that kind.
Playing
- Every play button plays the song itself first, from its own upload on YouTube, then falls back quietly to a 30-second sample, then to your own service.
- One player bar you can tap and scrub.
Connecting
- Connect your apps is one page: Google, Peltify's browser (marked Testing), Spotify through the phone app. Each shows the state the server checked.
- On a computer, Goodreads and Netflix sign in through Peltify's browser, streamed into the page.
- The first run asks where you listen and watch.
- Settings, Open with: which app Play, Watch and Open go to, per kind.
YouTube
- With YouTube connected, Want to on a song adds it to a private "Peltify finds" playlist in your own YouTube.
- A list from the chat can go into a YouTube playlist you name.
- Nothing says added until YouTube confirms it.
The floor
- Search at rest is shelves on a computer and a crate on a phone, restocked every week.
- Every record on the floor had a sample that played. Nothing you already have, kept or turned down is on it.
- On the floor the chat box is a small pill: Ask the clerk.
- Your 5 for this week: five picks, once a week.
- Deep cuts: ask for an artist's rarities by name.
Library
- Two tabs: Up next, your Want to by what you can do now, and Collection, which opens on Found by Peltify.
Posts and sharing
- Sharing a post is its link. Someone without an account can open it.
- A post can have a title.
Site and phone
- The app frame is an icon rail: Home, Search, Library, Messages.
- Every settings section has its own address.
- Edit profile is a whole-screen page, and the first run can add a profile photo.
- The home-screen app no longer zooms, and starts on the front door like the site.
Not done yet
- Peltify's browser for signing into platforms is marked Testing.
