Hello,
This round is about getting in and getting going: the first run, signing in from any link, the phone app, and a pass over the whole site on an old iPhone.
Site
- peltify.com shows "in development" to anyone not signed in, and takes no new sign-ups. Building and testing happen on staging.peltify.com.
First run
- Sign-up needs only an email and a password. Create account is the first step of one full-screen flow.
- Signing in returns you to where you started.
- A shared work and a person's page show their content without an account.
- An open pelt explains itself, comes back after sign-in, and previews in messages.
Phone app
- A phone app shell around the site.
- Inside the app, a platform's own sign-in opens in a full-screen sheet. Signing in there is how a platform gets connected on a phone.
- A scan is handed to Peltify's server at once, so it finishes with the app closed.
Home
- Today's picks: a free round a day, drawn as the chat's own cards, with a countdown to the next ones.
- One player card for the chat and Home, with every answer in thumb reach and a rating strip.
- Posts snap one per flick, on a phone and on a computer.
Chat and catalogue
- Depth for music: an artist's whole catalogue, every take of a song with the original and covers, and the rare records, from MusicBrainz.
- Songs carry their album. A song's page shows its album and length, a release's page its date and label.
- A track from the album you asked about does not come back as a pick.
- Good pick or bad pick is its own answer, apart from Keep. A bad pick steers.
- Different direction asks "Different how?" with choices.
- Mentions are found as you type. @ is the one mention sign, for media and people.
- Choices is a tree of what you asked, newest first.
Library
- One honing popup. A hone tap files a work as seen; it is not five stars.
- Each platform gets its own shelf.
- Want to puts what you are most likely to enjoy first, with the reason, and says no order when nothing tells the items apart.
- Playlists: a New playlist sheet, and + Playlist on every work.
- The library and Messages are redrawn in the first run's look.
iPhone 8 pass
- Everything clears the status bar.
- Covers load at the size they are drawn.
- The chat box and the @ list stay above the keyboard.
- After Post you land on your new post.
Plans
- Free gets 3 scans a day, up from 1.
Not done yet
- The phone app is a test build for my own iPhone. It is not in the App Store, and the Android half has not been compiled.
- A desktop app with the same sign-in sheet is built but not yet tested on a real computer.
