Hello,
This is the list of what is live before Peltify moves from peltify.vercel.app to peltify.com. Since 0.0.0.0 the site has gone from a landing page to the app. The list is by page.
Homepage
- The front door opens the feed. Signed out, you see the public feed with a sign-in card over it.
- A post is a person, a thought, the works it mentions, their covers, and the actions. Stars show under a work the post rated.
- Posts can be public or for followers. You can edit or archive your own.
- Comments with one level of replies, likes, and mentions of people and works.
- List posts keep one line per work.
- Clicking a review's metadata says who reviewed it and how they scored it.
Search
- One bar fixed at the top. Typing one character searches people and media live.
- People first, then media rows with a + that adds to your library, then "Ask Peltify for picks like this".
- An empty field shows Recent, Following and Suggested people.
- Platform tabs hone the media search. A search result opens the media popup with your rating and verdict.
- An artist's name ranks the artist first, then their works.
- The not-found page has the same bar, with the same results.
Discover
- Discover and Search are one screen: the bar on top, the suggestions chat under it.
- A round is a deck of cards. Kept picks steer the next round. Not for me and Already seen mark a card without removing it.
- Notes under every card. Refine in place. Choices and History in one panel.
- "Similar to X" resolves X to a real work and grows a pool from TMDB, last.fm and ListenBrainz.
- Every suggestion is retrieved from real catalogue records first. The model chooses among them.
- Music plays a 30-second sample. Films and series play a trailer on the artwork.
- @ mentions people, # mentions media. A mention is one chip with its own cover.
- Picks per round: 1 to 3 on Free, 1 to 10 on Plus.
- Without an account: one taste round, then Have-you-heard cards.
- Typed turns cost nothing. A delivered deck costs one ask.
Library
- The library is the media manager: shelves by kind, sort, lists, pins, ratings, verdict filters, platform marks.
- One record per work, matched by external id, never by name. A second spelling of a name is an alias.
- Fix-the-record on any item.
- Dashboard, Gallery and Scan sit under Library. The graph draws in about a second.
- Reload folds new things in without spending a credit.
- On a phone, the library reads a page of 400 rows and sections paint as they scroll into view.
Scan
- Sources are read three ways: the Chrome extension in your own browser, a browser Peltify runs, or an official API or public username. The page says which for each source.
- Platforms run at once and never close each other's tabs. Stop is per source.
- Spotify, Reddit, Goodreads, Letterboxd, Netflix, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, ListenBrainz, Discogs, RateYourMusic and more.
- A scan is charged only when it read something.
- The scan terminal is a popup with a JSON download.
Chrome extension
- Reads your services inside your own Chrome, on the sessions you are already signed into.
- Status glyphs on the icon. The finished source's tab group collapses itself.
- Detection keeps looking, and a link withdrawal reconnects locally.
Profile
- The profile is edited on the profile. Edit profile is a popup.
- Three tabs: posts, taste, Your things. Skeleton first, then the data.
- Genres you can edit, with their covers. Section-by-section visibility.
Media pages
- Every work has a page at /media/kind/name. Namesakes get their own address.
- The page counts what Peltify holds, lists reviews (most liked first) and Talked about.
- Editions fold under the original: deluxe, remaster and anniversary are listed as "also".
- Films and series use TMDB for lookup, search and trailers.
Messages and pelts
- Two-pane messages. Replies, emoji reactions, seen receipts, media attached, a shared post as one card.
- Strangers may message you by default. It is a setting.
- A pelt is one recommendation sent to one friend, with why it fits and the two tastes side by side. It is a message in the thread and has its own address.
- Unsend on the sender's copy.
Plan
- Free: 8 suggestions and 1 scan a day, rounds of up to 3.
- Plus: 40 suggestions and 4 scans a day, rounds of up to 10. $9.99 a month or $49 a year. Yearly adds 1 scan and 2 suggestions a day.
- Stripe Checkout and the Customer Portal. Invoices on the Plan page.
Sign-in
- Username, email and password. The account exists once the emailed code comes back.
- Google sign-in.
- The first sign-in from a new browser needs the code. A browser that proved the address is trusted for 180 days.
- Browse first, without an account.
Phone
- The app is installable. The tab bar is always there.
- The search page is one solid screen: bar top, composer bottom, the thread the only thing that scrolls.
- Cards fit a phone. Have-you-heard swipes right for Yes, left for Not yet.
- Inputs are 16px so iOS stops zooming.
Site
- Dark mode as one token set.
- One loading mark everywhere.
- Privacy Policy and Terms of Service rewritten for this version, by page, in plain lines.
- A real not-found page.
